Dave Chappelle is getting his own special on Netflix. 3 of them to be exact, all debuting in March of this year.  Two of the three specials were already filmed but never released. Entertainment Weekly reports one of the specials The Age of Spin, was filmed in March 2016 at the Hollywood Palladium in LA. The second, Deep in the Heart of Texas, was filmed in April 2015 at Austin’s Moody Theater. The third special will be filmed specifically for Netflix.

Besides the 3 Netflix specials he is also getting $60 million. $60 million well deserved. He uses his comedy as a platform to bring about change and talk about topics that really matter. Last November he hosted SNL where he spoke to the crowd about racial tensions, the new president, and other relevant issues. It brought in SNL’s  highest ratings in the 18-49 demographic since 2013.

Just recently he visited the small town where he grew up, Yellow Spring, Ohio, to speak at their town hall meeting. He advocated for a new police chief who would keep to the culture of the town. He didn’t have to do this but he did, because he is true to himself and his beliefs, which is why he has so many fans and is making $60 million for his specials. We love you Dave!
